How to reconstitute Chonluten

  1. Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with bacteriostatic water, running the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial.
  2. Swirl the vial gently until the pellet dissolves; avoid shaking, since shear forces and foaming can damage peptide chains.
  3. Store the reconstituted solution at 2-8°C and use within about 28 days; do not freeze after reconstitution.
  4. Keep unreconstituted vials at -20°C for long-term storage or refrigerated for shorter periods, dry and protected from light.
  5. Draw and use doses promptly once the vial is accessed; short peptides degrade rapidly in biological fluids.

Frequently asked questions

What is Chonluten and what is Chonluten intended for?+

Chonluten is the tripeptide Glu-Asp-Gly (EDG), one of the Khavinson peptide bioregulators originally isolated from animal tissues and selected for organ-specific activity: in this case, bronchial (lung) epithelium. Evidence base is in-vitro only. In human THP-1 monocytes differentiated into macrophages, Chonluten suppressed TNF and IL-6 secretion triggered by bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), consistent with inducing TNF tolerance (attenuation of inflammatory signaling), and reduced monocyte adhesion to activated endothelial cells, a key pro-inflammatory mechanism. In a separate aging model using neurons derived from elderly donor fibroblasts, the related tripeptide Glu-Asp-Arg (EDR/Pinealon), not Chonluten, reduced oxidative DNA damage and promoted dendritic arborization (dendritogenesis). Community use therefore centers on immune/inflammatory regulation and mucosal-lung support (community protocol).

Does Chonluten have regulatory approval?+

No. Chonluten has no FDA, EMA, or other major-regulator approval and no registered human clinical trials. It is sold as a research peptide / unapproved supplement (practitioner consensus). Human efficacy and formal safety data do not exist; the strongest available evidence is cell-culture (in-vitro).

Is subcutaneous injection or oral dosing better for Chonluten?+

No comparative human data exist. In-vitro work used direct peptide exposure to cultured cells. A mechanistic caution for all routes: short peptides are rapidly digested by blood peptidases. The related immunomodulatory octapeptide THF-γ2, which carries the Glu-Asp-Gly core, showed an intact-peptide half-life under 6 minutes at 37 °C in human, rat, and mouse blood. Sublingual or injectable dosing plausibly bypasses gastric degradation, but this is inference, not measured for Chonluten. Community protocols commonly use 5–20 mcg subcutaneous daily (community protocol).

How long can I take Chonluten?+

No long-term safety or efficacy data exist. Community/practitioner convention for Khavinson bioregulators is time-limited courses: typically 10-30 days on, followed by 4-6 months off, with up to 2-3 courses per year (practitioner consensus). There is no evidence supporting continuous or indefinite administration, and none addressing cumulative exposure.

How does Chonluten compare with Epitalon?+

Both are Khavinson short peptides with a shared anti-inflammatory signature in THP-1 macrophages (all five tested peptides inhibited LPS-stimulated TNF and IL-6 and reduced endothelial adhesion). Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is the far better-studied compound, with extensive in-vitro, animal, and some human data on pineal, circadian, immune, and geroprotective effects. Chonluten's evidence base is much thinner: two relevant in-vitro datasets, and its traditional organ specificity is bronchial rather than pineal. Claims that Chonluten "does what Epitalon does" are not supported by data.

Can I use Chonluten while pregnant or breastfeeding?+

No. There is no safety data in pregnancy, lactation, or pediatrics. Given absent teratogenicity and reproductive-toxicity testing, use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be avoided (practitioner consensus).

What is the mechanism of action of Chonluten?+

Chonluten is the tripeptide Glu-Asp-Gly (EDG). Partially characterized. In LPS-stimulated differentiated THP-1 cells, Chonluten reduced TNF and IL-6 expression; the low-TNF-release phenotype matches a documented TNF-tolerance mechanism that dampens inflammatory cascades rather than blocking them outright, and peptide exposure reduced leukocyte adhesion to activated endothelium. Independently, the related tripeptide Glu-Asp-Arg (EDR/Pinealon), not Chonluten, lowered oxidative DNA damage and supported neuronal process outgrowth in aged human fibroblast-derived neurons, an antioxidant and neuroprotective readout that belongs to EDR rather than to Chonluten. No receptor or signaling target for Chonluten has been definitively identified.

Does Chonluten need refrigeration?+

Practical, not evidence-based: lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder is stable at refrigerated temperature (2-8 °C); short-term room-temperature transport is acceptable. After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, refrigerate and use within approximately 30 days; discard if cloudy or particulate (community protocol). Unreconstituted vials kept frozen or refrigerated and protected from light store longest (community protocol).
