How ChatPEP updates your profile from a chat, and how to undo it
Updated Oct 16, 2026 · Applies to Web, iPhone, and Android · All plans
When you tell ChatPEP in a chat that a condition, medication, or goal applies to you, that you drink, smoke, or use cannabis, or that you have started or stopped a compound, it can save that to your profile or My Stack so later chats know it. The change appears as a checked step in the list of what ChatPEP did, above the answer, with an Undo button at its end.
When ChatPEP saves something
ChatPEP is built to save a detail only when you state it about yourself, as true now. For example, a condition you have, a medication you are on, a goal you are focused on, a compound you have started or stopped, or that you drink, smoke, or use cannabis. "I drink most weekends" turns on Alcohol under Also check against; "I quit smoking" turns Tobacco off. "Does alcohol affect BPC-157?" changes nothing.
It does not save anything from:
- A question about a compound or medication.
- A hypothetical.
- Something about another person.
If it saves something you did not mean, undo it.
A few more rules apply:
- A goal is added only while you have room for one. If your goals are full, change them in Biometrics.
- Something already on your profile or in My Stack is not added twice.
- A compound you say you stopped moves to Stopped in My Stack. It is not deleted.
- Temporary chats never save anything. No update line appears in them.
What you see
While ChatPEP works on an answer, the steps it takes are listed above it, and each one gets a check mark as it finishes. When the answer arrives, most of those steps fold into one line you can open. A profile change stays visible as its own checked step under that line, so you never have to open anything to see it. It reads one or more of:
- Added to your profile: followed by the conditions, medications, goals, or substances added.
- Removed from your profile: followed by what was removed.
- Added to your stack: followed by the item and any details you gave.
- Stopped in your stack: followed by the item.
Undo sits at the end of that step, on the web, on iPhone, and on Android. If a new detail raises an interaction warning, the warning appears with the same answer.
Undo a change
Select Undo, or tap it on iPhone and on Android. The step changes to "Profile change undone."
- Conditions, medications, and goals go back exactly as they were just before the change. If you edited the same list in Settings since then, those edits are reversed too.
- An item added to My Stack is removed.
- An item moved to Stopped goes back to the group it was in.
Review it later
- Conditions, medications, and goals are in Settings, under Biometrics. See Goals, conditions, and medications.
- Items the chat added to My Stack carry a From chat label. See Save what you are researching in My Stack.
You can edit or remove anything there at any time, whether you added it or the chat did.
