Use ChatPEP from another AI assistant
Updated Oct 26, 2026 · Applies to Web, iPhone, and Android · All plans
You can connect ChatPEP to another AI assistant that supports connected apps. When you ask that assistant about a peptide, it can ask ChatPEP and show you ChatPEP's answer, with its sources. It never sees your profile, your stack, or your tracker.
What the assistant can do
- Look up a compound. It can read what the ChatPEP peptide directory says about a compound: what it is, how it works, its regulatory status, and how strong the evidence is. This needs no account.
- Ask a research question. Once you connect your account, it can ask ChatPEP a question and get the full answer with its sources. Each answer is saved as a chat in your account, marked with the assistant's name, so you can pick it up in ChatPEP.
What it cannot do
- It cannot read your profile, My Stack, your tracker, or your other chats.
- It cannot change anything in your account. Nothing you tell the assistant is saved to your profile.
- Its answers are not fitted to your profile. Continue the chat in ChatPEP to check an answer against what you are running.
Connect an assistant
Add ChatPEP from the assistant's apps or connectors, then ask it about a peptide. The first time it needs your account, it opens ChatPEP so you can sign in. Then it shows what the assistant will be able to do. Select Allow to connect it, or Cancel to stop.
Answers count toward your daily limit
An answer the assistant gets for you counts the same as a message you send in ChatPEP. On Free that is 5 a day across everything, and the window works as Message limits and when they reset describes. When you reach your limit, the assistant says when answers come back and links to ChatPEP, where you can ask the question yourself.
Disconnect an assistant
On the web
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, select Settings, then select Data controls. Under Connected assistants, select Disconnect next to the assistant, then confirm.
On iPhone and on Android
Open the menu, tap Settings, then tap Data controls. Under Connected assistants, tap the assistant, then tap Disconnect.
The assistant loses access at once. The chats it started stay in your history until you delete them.
What the assistant's provider sees
The question the assistant sends and the answer ChatPEP returns pass through the company that runs the assistant, under its own privacy policy. See Who can see your chats.
