Who can see your chats

On the Basic, Research, and Frontier plans, your chats appear in your sidebar and in chat search on every device you sign in to. On Free, you can open your most recent chat, and earlier ones appear once you upgrade. A temporary chat never appears in your history.

When you share a chat, ChatPEP makes a copy of it as it stands at that moment and gives you a link. Anyone with the link can read that copy without signing in.

• Messages you send after sharing are not added to the copy.
• The contents of files you attached are not included. The copy only notes that a file was there.
• Shared pages are hidden from search engines.
• A shared link keeps working after you delete the chat. It stops working when you delete your account. To take down one link sooner, contact support with the link.

ChatPEP reviews chats, including the photos and documents attached to them, to find problems, improve answers and the product, and keep the service safe. It also reads a chat to answer a support request you send about it. A reviewed chat is never shown to other people.

To answer you, the text of your messages and any files you attach are sent to the AI model provider that writes the answer. The privacy policy lists the providers ChatPEP uses. None of them make your chats visible to anyone else.
