ChatPEP on Android

Once ChatPEP is listed, open the Google Play app, search for ChatPEP, and tap Install. The app is free to install, and every plan, including Free, works in it.

1. Tap Continue with Google, or tap Continue with email.
2. For email, type your address and tap Continue. ChatPEP emails you a code.
3. When the email arrives, your phone offers to fill in the code from its notification. Tap the suggestion, or type the code yourself. The code is checked as soon as the last digit is in.

There is no Sign in with Apple on Android. If you signed in with Apple on an iPhone and shared your email with Apple, sign in on Android with Google or an email code for that same address to reach the same account. See Ways to sign in.

The two apps have the same screens, labels, and features. What changes is how some of them open:

• Settings opens as a full screen titled Settings, with a back arrow at the top left. Each setting opens on its own screen, and the back arrow or your phone's back gesture returns to the one before. The rows are a flat list, and a setting's current value shows under its label.
• Touch and hold a chat in the menu, and a sheet rises from the bottom of the screen with Share, Pin, Rename, Archive, and Delete. On iPhone, the same rows open as a menu. More options at the top right of an open chat holds the same rows on both phones.
• Rename opens a dialog with the chat's title in a text field. Type the new title and tap OK.
• Plans are bought through Google Play and billed to your Google Account. See Subscriptions bought on Android.
• Notifications come in two channels you can tune in your phone's settings: Reminders, for dose reminders and follow-ups, and Updates, for low supply notes, the journal prompt, and when your daily messages come back. See Dose reminders.
• Partner offers cannot be redeemed in the Android app, so a partner's page shows no offer panel there. See Referral discounts at checkout.
• Appearance follows your phone's dark theme setting.

Chatting, citations, interaction warnings, the calculator, attaching photos and files from Camera, Photos, or Files, dictation, My Stack, Today, dose reminders with Log and Snooze, temporary chats, search, sharing, Data controls, and deleting your account all work the same way.
