Referral discounts at checkout
Updated Oct 16, 2026 · Applies to Web, iPhone, and Android · Free plan
If you signed up through a ChatPEP partner's link, their offer is applied automatically at checkout. There is no discount code to type. An offer covers one plan on monthly billing, for the time it states, and only if you have never had a paid plan.
Who gets an offer
You get a partner's offer when all of these are true:
- You opened the partner's link and created your account in the same browser. In the iPhone or Android app, you entered their referral code when you signed up with email.
- The partner has an offer running.
- You have never paid for a ChatPEP plan.
The link has to come before the account. A referral cannot be added to an account after it is created. An invitation from a friend who is not a partner does not come with a discount. See What the people you invite get.
Where you see it
- Right after you sign up on the web, a screen shows the partner's offer with checkout attached. Select Continue without claiming to skip it for now. The offer stays available.
- Right after you sign up on iPhone, the same screen offers Redeem in the App Store when the partner's offer is available there, and Not now to skip it.
- With Monthly selected, the plans screen shows the offer price on the plan it covers, with the regular price struck through.
- A dot on your account menu, and on the partner's name in your sidebar, tells you an offer is waiting.
- The partner's page, opened from their name in your sidebar, has a Claim your offer button.
At checkout
The order summary is titled Your offer. It shows the plan's regular price, the discount, and Due today. Beneath that, a line states what you pay each month while the offer runs, and the regular price after it ends.
The discount applies only to the plan the offer covers, billed monthly. Any other plan is charged at its regular price, and so is yearly billing: if you choose Yearly, checkout charges the plan's regular yearly price.
After the offer ends
Your plan renews at its regular monthly price, and you keep everything on it. You can cancel at any time. See Manage or cancel a subscription.
When an offer does not appear
- You have paid for a plan before. Offers are for first subscriptions only.
- You created your account before opening the link, or in a different browser.
- The partner's offer has ended. Checkout then shows the regular price.
- You chose yearly billing. Offers apply to monthly billing only.
On iPhone
A partner's offer on iPhone is an App Store offer code with the same terms. On the partner's page, and on the screen after you sign up, tap Redeem in the App Store. The App Store opens with the code filled in and shows the discounted price before you confirm. When you return to ChatPEP, your plan updates within a few seconds.
Not every partner has an App Store offer yet. When yours does not, the partner's page shows no offer panel on iPhone. Sign in on the web with the same account to claim the offer there instead. An offer redeemed on either platform counts as your first subscription, so it cannot be used twice.
On Android
Google Play has no partner offer codes, so the Android app shows a partner's page without an offer panel, and the screen after you sign up does not offer one. Sign in on the web with the same account to claim the offer there.
