Try ChatPEP

Rate an answer

Updated Oct 16, 2026 · Applies to Web, iPhone, and Android · All plans

Use the thumbs up and thumbs down under an answer to tell ChatPEP whether it helped. You can also report an answer that is inaccurate, harmful, or misleading, and say why. Ratings help the team find answers that need to be better. They do not change the answer you got.

Rate an answer

The buttons appear under an answer once it is complete.

On the web

  1. Select Good response (thumbs up) or Bad response (thumbs down).
  2. To change your rating, select the other one.

On iPhone and on Android

  1. Tap Good answer (thumbs up) or Poor answer (thumbs down).
  2. To change your rating, tap the other one. To clear it, tap the same one again.

Report a safety concern

Use this for an answer that could mislead or harm someone, such as one that reads like an instruction to take something, gets reconstitution math wrong, or misses an interaction.

  1. Under the answer, select Report safety concern.
  2. In Report a safety concern, select the reason that fits. The report is sent as soon as you select it, and the button changes to Reported.
  3. If none fits, select Something else, write a note, then select Send.

It works the same on iPhone and on Android, where the reasons open in a sheet. See Report a safety concern.

What happens to your rating

  • It is saved with the answer. ChatPEP's team reviews ratings and reports, with the answer and the account they came from, to find and fix weak answers.
  • It does not change the answer. For a new version, select Regenerate. See How to read an answer.
  • It is recorded whether or not Improve ChatPEP for everyone is on.
  • A rating or a report does not get a reply. If you need an answer, contact support.

What makes a rating useful

A thumbs down is most useful for a wrong fact, a citation that does not support its claim, an answer that missed your question, or an answer in the wrong language. A thumbs up tells the team what to keep doing.
