Ask to delete your ChatPEP account

Updated Oct 16, 2026 · Applies to Web, iPhone, and Android · All plans

You can delete your ChatPEP account yourself, in Data controls on the web, on iPhone, or on Android. If you cannot open ChatPEP, email support@chatpep.com from the address your account uses and ask for the account to be deleted. Either way, the account closes, and its data is kept for 365 days to meet legal and financial obligations, then deleted permanently. ChatPEP is published by Footnote Technologies LLC.

Delete it yourself

On the web

  1. Sign in at chatpep.com, select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Settings.
  2. Select Data controls.
  3. Next to Delete account, select Delete account, then select Delete account again to confirm.

On iPhone and on Android

  1. Open the menu and tap Settings.
  2. Tap Data controls.
  3. Tap Delete account, then tap Delete account to confirm.

Ask by email, without the app

  1. Write to support@chatpep.com from the email address your ChatPEP account uses. That is how the team knows the request comes from you.
  2. Say that you want your ChatPEP account deleted.
  3. The team replies by email, then closes the account.

If you can no longer read that address, write from one you can read, and name the address your account uses. You can also use Contact support without signing in: under What is this about?, choose Privacy and my data, and put an address you can read in Email for our reply.

Never send a card number. ChatPEP has no passwords, so nobody will ask you for one.

What is deleted, and when

The account closes as soon as it is deleted: it is signed out on every device, its shared links stop working, and reminders to your phone stop. Nobody can sign in to it again.

ChatPEP keeps the account's data for 365 days to meet legal and financial obligations, then deletes it permanently:

  • Your account and profile: name, photo, date of birth, goals, conditions, medications, the substances you asked it to check against, biometrics, and My Stack.
  • Your tracker: schedules, dose logs, vials, and journal entries.
  • Every chat, including archived ones, with every answer and rating.
  • Chats you deleted earlier, and messages kept for safety review.
  • The photos and documents you attached.

Usage events already recorded, such as pages viewed, are kept, though the account they point to no longer exists. Payment records stay with whoever took the payment: Stripe for a plan bought on the web, Apple for the App Store, and Google for Google Play.

Your subscription

Deleting your account cancels a subscription bought on the web at once. It does not cancel one bought through the App Store or Google Play: cancel it in your iPhone's Settings, or in the Google Play app, as well. See Subscriptions bought on iPhone and Subscriptions bought on Android.

Coming back later

For 365 days after the account is deleted, its email address cannot be used to sign in or to sign up. After that, you can sign up again and start with a new, empty account. Nothing from the deleted account can be restored. Delete your account has the full detail.
